I published my first academic book chapter! Routledge’s “Embodied Playwriting: Improv and Acting Exercises for Writing and Devising” is out today; my chapter focuses on collaborative worldbuilding exercises. I think the book provides some pretty cool outside-of-the-box approaches to playwriting.

Ava has an unexplained illness arrive overnight that leaves her disabled, leaving her to navigate a series of frustrating and quirky characters comprising her surprisingly ableist community, including a callous doctor, inquisitive Uber drivers, and an anthropomorphic spoon. You’re NOT Sick new dark comedy about living with disability in Hawai’i in 2023.
We are partnering with Aloha Independent Living Hawaii, a fantastic nonprofit organization who provides independent living programs and services for persons with disabilities in all over Hawai’i. Every performance will have representatives available with more information.

“WHAT’S LEFT BEHIND” WON THE PLANET EARTH AWARD AT KCACTF

My seven-minute play “What’s Left Behind,” a play about climate change, the end of the human race, and real estate savvy cockroaches, won the National Playwright Program’s Region VIII Planet Earth Award at this year’s KCACTF. MY DISSERTATION IS NOW AVAILABLE ON PROQUEST
My dissertation “Metanoia And Our Legacy: The Fostering Of Student Agency Through Devised Theatre Education” is now available from ProQuest. Based on quantitative and qualitative analyses from two case studies, I argue that a devised theatre educational methodology aimed at allowing students as much agency as possible can be a formidable learning methodology in an increasingly shifting and unpredictable world.
